“Good luck Miss American Samoa!” from the Department of Commerce staff

Miss American Samoa, Anneliese Fa’aitumalo Sword, stopped by the Department of Commerce yesterday after her exit meeting with Honorable Governor Lolo Moliga. She left yesterday afternoon to Apia, Samoa and will be representing American Samoa in the Miss South Pacific pageant on December 14-20.

Miss Sword is accompanied by Miss American Samoa Incorporated (MASI) President Meafou Imo, Department of Commerce Territorial Planner Line Kruse, and Visitors Bureau Deputy Director Vaito’a Hans Langkilde. She will represent American Samoa in beauty and grace, and will also act as a spokesperson for attracting tourism and commerce to the Territory. Miss Sword is 26 years old and a teacher at South Pacific Academy.

This year will be the official relaunch of the Miss South Pacific Pageant to be renamed and rebranded as the “Miss Pacific Islands Pageant”. The theme this year is “Our Pacific Paradise”.
